The Fabricated Bike Ride
It was Mother’s Day May 10th, 2020 the day Suzanne Morphew was said to have gone on the proverbial Bike Ride. There are many theories as to how this sweet strong Woman met her demise. Here are a few that have been said.
- Lost control went over a steep embankment; hit her head knocked her for a loop.
crawled her way to the water and fell in. Where she was taken
down the river.
- Others say she was abducted.
- Her husband Barry wondered if it was a Mountain Lion that jumped on her as she was riding her bike.
- Another theory was she took off left her daughters and moved to another country.
These are just a few farcical examples that are being said on social media platforms. It appears that the defense has swayed a few followers to believe Barry Morphew is innocent of murdering his wife.
According to the Preliminary Hearing transcripts On pages 9 and 10 we find the following information.
- Question: Did he note whether or not it appeared that there had been any kind of a struggle in the area that the bike was found?
- Answer: He noted: No struggle or sign of a struggle.
- Question: Did he note whether or not there was any skid marks or anything on the road about approximately where her bike was found?
- Answer: He noted: No skid marks or braking marks.

The defense states the K9 followed Suzanne's scent down the driveway and then to the water. Sergeant Mullenax accompanied by Deputy Brown arrived on the scene to investigate the blue Santa Cruz mountain bike. They saw no indications of a crash, as Deputy Brown noted, "The vegetation around the bike was not flattened in the area where a human body would have landed." There was no blood around the bike, nor was there any apparent damage to the bike. Due to the steepness of the incline, the bike should have been damaged if an accident had occurred. When Deputy Brown moved the bike up to the path, he noticed that the front brake pad was seized and the handlebars were turned completely to the left, causing the brake cables to wrap around the bike frame. Deputy Brown and Sergeant Mullenax examined the dirt shoulder of CR 225 immediately above the area where the bike was recovered and "did not observe any braking marks (skid marks) from Mtn. Bike." went over the embankment. This is all in the court documents.
Theories
Others feel that Suzanne went down the steep embankment, hit her head crawled to the water, and ended up falling in.
- The K9 handler said the k9 did hit on Suzanne's scent on only a log, not around the log or to the log just on the log. (How did her scent get on the log then? touch DNA!
- The k9 handler took the k9 to the water the K9 handler said if the dog had picked up a scent in the water the k9 would have gone in.
- The k9 handler took the k9 to the other side of the water no scent of Suzanne was located.
- If she was knocked for a loop how did she get through the barbwire fence that was blocking the water?
K9 followed Suzanne's sent to where the bike was. (Suzanne's scent was all over the bike)
Now let's back up a bit Suzanne's youngest daughter's friend stated that Suzanne always wore her light blue bike helmet, and she would have her Camelback. Suzanne's bike helmet was found .84 miles away from where the bike was found.
After searching the house LE located all Suzanne's bike gear that she was said to always have with her in her was locked up in her Range Rover locked in the garage. However, her cell phone and charger was not recovered and til this day is still missing. Since this theory was not one the defense could use as more evidence came to light they had to point to the K9 saying that the k9 picked up Suzanne's scent. However, the only scent that was picked up was on a single log.
K9 Search
- The K9 handler said that if the dog would have gotten a scent in the water the dog would have jumped right in. The dog handler said he walked the dog around to the other side of the water to see if there was any scent. The dog did not bring him to the other side. He brought the dog to the other side. So what do we know? We know if Suzanne had been down by the water and around the area of her bike there would have been enough scent to make a positive scent hit. So now there are only two options left either Allien's abducted her or Mr. Morphew has a lot of explaining to do. You can make your own mind up on which one.
Bottom line. .
There was no bike ride!

During an interview with ABC News that was aired on Good Morning America on May 15, 2023. Barry Morphew claims he was wrongfully charged in his wife's alleged death. The Morphew's daughters Mallory and Macy Morphew, told ABC News that the last three years have been "literally our worst nightmare." But they are standing by their father. "I've never had a shred of doubt," Macy Morphew said. Macy also was said to say in Suzanne's text that
Is there a reason why Macy Morphew has changed her mind? or has she? Sure, Barry is her dad regardless of what he may or may not have done she still loves her dad. I hope we can all understand and agree on. What’s most perplexing is what Macy said to her mom about leaving Barry. It makes you wonder if Suzanne was right about how good Barry’s charming ways of manipulating his daughters to take his side is very much a strong possibility. Suzanne said she hates that Mallory feels responsible for Barry's happiness.
Macy was the one who had witnessed many of the arguments between her parents being that she was home more than her sister Mallory. Macy's friend when questioned by the police at the beginning of the case seemed very reluctant to share anything about Barry. Why is that? Did he fear there might be repercussions from Barry? or was it out of respect for Macy? Or was it a little bit of both? You can come to your own conclusion.
Macy is the one who most feels compassion for if she tells the truth she loses her sister for throwing her father under the bus, plus she also loses her father Barry Morphew.
